No, there is no need to purchase a fishing license.

You may purchase food aboard the boat or bring your own in a small cooler. The Capt. Hook has a full cash-only galley on board.
You can purchase hot and cold food, hot dogs, pizza, cheeseburgers, chips of all kinds, candy, beef jerky, beer, water, and soda. We also have T-shirts, cameras, and many other items for sale.

Your mates work for tips. It is customary to tip the mate(s) at least 15% to 20% of your ticketed price after the fishing trip.

We accept cash, traveler’s checks, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover Card for ticket purchases. Anything purchased aboard the boat in the galley must be paid for with cash.

Customers may cancel any time prior to the trip and get a full refund as long as they give us 24 hours’ notice. Any cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled trip will be charged the full amount of the trip.
The captain can cancel the trip any time for weather or any other reason with a full refund.
No refunds or credit given for late arrivals or not showing up for the trip.

Please arrive at the boat at least 30-45 minutes before departure to purchase your ticket if you haven’t already purchased it online. Tickets can be purchased next to the boat on Dock C at Shelter Cove Harbour.
The crew boards everyone 15 minutes prior to departure. The Capt. Hook usually departs on time, so please do not be late.

Bring a hat, suntan lotion, camera, bathing suit, jacket, small cooler, towel, or anything else you might need on a fishing trip in Hilton Head, SC.

Please don’t bring anything made of glass, including beer bottles. Beer cans are OK. Bananas are not allowed on the boat as we believe they are bad luck. Also, no need to bring empty coolers, as we have coolers for your fish.

We suggest you wear shorts, long pants, a T-shirt, bathing suit, jacket, hat, sneakers, or boat shoes. Flip flops are not recommended.

The Capt. Hook is available for private groups. We offer private fishing charters, sightseeing, and parties. We can provide catered food and drinks for your group. Please call us at 843-785-1700 for prices.
